EXTENDED RANGE C17s AT STEWART ANGB

STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Newburgh --New York Air National Guard Maintenance Crew prepare C-17 Tail Number10188, formerly assigned to Joint Base Charleston, for painting with 105th Airlift Wing markings on Wednesday, October 10. The plane, the second of two extended range C-17s, arrived at the base on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The new planes can fly over 6,000 miles before refueling instead of the 4,000 a standard C-17 can fly. This makes the wing more flexible in responding to missions, said Col Timothy LaBarge, the commander of the 105th. (National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Michael OHalloran)(Released)
