Blood Drive
STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, N.Y. -Tech. Sgt. Jeffrey Strickland, a personnel specialist with the 105th Force Support Squadron, gives a double red cell donation during a blood drive here April 2. The double red donation draws whole blood and then returns platelets, plasma, and saline back into the body. The process allows for a more pure blood for recipients and is currently in high demand. Anyone interested in donating blood can contact the N.Y. Blood center at 1-800-933-2566 or visit their website www.nybloodcenter.org (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Jonathan Young)
