Eager to step inside one of our C-17s? The 105th hosts monthly tours from April through October every year!

Tours are typically 45 minutes to one hour in length and run at 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 5:00pm on scheduled tour dates. Please refer to the schedule and guidance below for further information.

Process

To request one of the scheduled tours, complete the steps under the Sign Up section. You must sign up at least one week prior to your tour date. Refer to the guidance below to ensure smooth processing for you and your guests.

  • Completed request forms must be submitted no later than 11:00 a.m. the Monday prior to your tour date. 
  • All guests 16 years old and older must bring proper ID to receive entry to the base (see guidance below). 
  • We ask that groups carpool to avoid congestion at the gate.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of your tour. 

Base Access Form Instructions

To receive access to Stewart Air National Guard Base, EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR GROUP (16 years old and up) will need to complete the Base Access form (found under the Sign Up section).

ID Requirements

For civilian visitors 16 years of age or older, identity proofing documents MUST be REAL ID compliant, be original (no copies) and valid (not expired) State or Federal issued ID containing a picture. E.g. State issued driver license, non-driver ID, U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card.

In accordance with the law, all identity proofing documents that do not meet REAL ID standards are marked with "NOT FOR FEDERAL PURPOSES".

Any visitor attempting to gain access to Stewart ANG Base without meeting the REAL ID standards MUST provide a second form of Federal ID (E.g. Social Security Card, U.S. Passport/Card or Birth Certificate) upon arrival if identification documents are marked "NOT FOR FEDERAL PURPOSES" or they will be denied access.

Safety and Apparel

All visitors must wear closed toe, flat shoes. Sandals/flip flops and heels are prohibited on the Flight Line. Comfortable clothing and no skirts or dresses are suggested, as well as jackets in the cooler months. Please note this is a non-smoking installation.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: 

  • Video cameras including any action camcorders, cameras with detachable lenses, tablets, tripods, monopods and camera sticks
  • Handbags, book bags, backpacks or purses (unless notified in advance i.e. school trip)
  • Food or beverages
  • Tobacco products
  • Strollers
  • Any pointed objects
  • Aerosol containers
  • Guns, ammunition, fireworks, electric stun guns, mace, martial arts weapons/devices, knives
Smartphones and compact cameras with a lens no longer than 3 inches (stills only) are permitted on the public tour route as long as their use does not interfere with other guests’ enjoyment of the tour. Photo and video of the flight line and/or hangar(s) are not authorized. Flash photography or live streaming as well as talking or texting on cellular phones is not permitted while on the tour.

If the information or safety requirements are not met, it is possible the requested tour may be canceled.

*Note: The Base Access form must be submitted for every member of your group who is 16 years old or older NO LATER THAN one week prior to your tour date. Please refer to the Base Access form instructions for further information. 

We will send a confirmation email when your request is received. 

All request forms must be submitted at least one week prior to the requested tour date. The 105th can only support tours on the scheduled dates.
